Yellow Flowers Acrylic Painting

I painted this on cardboard.  Five or Six coats of gesso on the front.  Two coats of Mod Podge on the back.  I used thick coats of paint on this one.  I tried to give the painting some texture.  I am pretty happy with this one.  

Trying to think of my next subject.  I am a little distracted lately.  I hope to get back in the swing.

 

 

Seascape Watercolor painting

This is a recent watercolor painting I did while on vacation.  I did not want to bring any acrylic or oils on a plane, so I took my small watercolor set.  It was an overcast day so the colors are not so brilliant.  I painted this sitting on a balcony in Maui.  The sunsets were spectacular. Great vacation !!!!  Back to painting.  I am working on a acrylic right now, letting dry a bit.

 

DIY Pallet Wood Easel

I had some time to spend in the wood shop. I really wanted a large easel for larger works, so I made one.  Fortunatly I have a workshop and tools so this project was pretty easy.  Years of collecting pallet wood made it even easier.  I can't wait to use it.  Despite the easel being on the ground it is a table top.  

I may try this project again.  I need to find a design I like.  If anybody has any questions on how I built this, please comment below.  Thanks.

I hate when I waste paint.  I had some leftover paint on my pallet so I painted this.

 

Blue Flowers Blue Vase Oil Painting

Feeling a little down today so I painted in blues.  Oil paint on Canvas paper.  I am still painting in a spring mind set.  There are alot of flowers to look at this time of year. 

 

Yellow Tulips Oil Painting

 I painted this on Arches oil paper.  I really like the paper, it absorbs the first layer quickly. This is another spring painting of flowers.  Tulips in a field.

A quick line and wash painting. I used a Chalkola 36 color set.  They have pretty good watercolor paint.
