Bluegill sketchbook painting in acrylic

I seem to be on a fish theme this weekend.  It started with the goldfish painting. I want to get some practice painting fish for the wood cutouts I made.  I will paint them soon.  I will hopefully be going fishing next week.

Skull oil painting

I painted this on a homemade canvas.  Streatched it myself with some inexpensive drop cloth from the local hardware store.  I like the ruff texture it has, it gives the painting some life.  I don't know why I painted a skull, it just seemed right.

Pitcher and fruit oil painting.

I used  a drop cloth canvas and made the frame myself.  The canvas is not the best quality but I am still learning how to make my own canvas.   The painting is oil and 13in x 13 in.  Oranges and plumbs.  I like the way it turned out.  Probably going to sell this one.

Hay Field Oil Painting

My friday night oil painting warm up. Not sure if I will do another.  Sitting and staring at a blank canvas right now.  I am looking for some ideas for my next painting.  Maybe a few beers will help the creative process along.  lol.
