Purple Flowers in a Vase Oil Painting

My latest oil painting.  I included my sketch.  I did it under an hour.

 

Acrylic painting using the Apple Barrel Craft paints

You don't need expensive acrylic paints to get started painting.  I used some of my cheap acrylic craft paints to make these.  The flowers were painted on cedar board.  The landscape was painted on gessoed paper.

 

Beer Glass Acrylic Painting.

I put 4 coats of gesso on some watercolor paper, then painted this.  I wanted to offset the glass and not center it.  I feel it gives the painting a better look.  There are hints of hot pink paint to suggest a neon sign in the bar.  I think I will paint this soon in oils, just to see the differences.  

I painted this Friday night, I was thinking of going to the local watering hole.  lol.

Donut and Coffee Oil Painting.

 My favorite snack.  Strawberry donut and coffee.  Still cant find a subject to paint.  lol.  I think I will switch to acrylic paint for a bit and just sketch things out.  

Not a Pair

 Three pears oil painting on cavas paper.  When I don't know what to paint I paint fruit.  It is very frustrating to find something to paint.  I spend way to much time looking at a blank canvas.  I hope the new years breaks my painter's block.  Untill then I will just keep going.
